for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Max's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Max's Story...
Max is a 3-4 year old purebred Mini Dachshund that was transported to us from another rescue in Grand Rapids. He came from a hoarding situation. He has been neutered and brought up to date on his vaccines, heartworm teats and stool check. He also had his teeth cleaned.
He is housebroken with prompting and not destructive. he does not do well in crates because he rubs the top of his nose raw trying to escape. He tolerates exercise pens much better.
Max is a bit scared of strangers but warms up quickly and is then very affectionate and snuggly.
He gets along with dogs a bit bigger than himself (he weighs 12 pounds) but will chase and seriously hurt cats.
We are looking for a family or individual without small children that will give him lots of love and attention.
His adoption fee is $125. A vet reference is an absolute must.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a West Bloomfield Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in West Bloomfield, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in West Bloomfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Bloomfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Bloomfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Bloomfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
