My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

9-10 y/o female, no apts/condos, still being assessed

Mystic is an adorable lady who likes to be on the move, making photos of her a bit tricky--as soon as we get a nice one that shows her cuteness better, we will update that. Mystic is another puppy-mill survivor, but is a little less fearful than many others we've taken in from this same mill. She still needs patient, gentle adopters and time to warm up, but her fosters are seeing small improvements each week. She doesn't jump up on her own, but if her foster mom picks Mystic up, she will sit on her foster's lap for quite some time before taking off. She is good with dogs, cats and adults, but we have not yet tested with small children.

Mystic enjoys going for walks and is doing fairly well on leash, especially for never having worn one before! She likes a more leisurely pace and stays close to her fosters while walking. Mystic does not potty on leash, though, so that is why she needs to have a home with her own, fenced-in yard at this time. If she makes good progress with this, we will update her profile. Mystic is potty and crate trained. She is also a bolter, so adopters will need to be very conscientious about keeping her safe.

Mystic will be available for adoption once she has come a bit further out of her shell. Mystic's adoption fee will be only $50 and include her spay, vaccinations, microchip, de-worming and heartworm test. Approved application and home visit required for all Colorado Shiba Inu Rescue dogs. Applications can be completed online via our website: www.coloradoshibainurescue.org
