My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1 y/o male, $350 adoption fee

Yuki came to rescue after being surrendered to one of the local shelters in Colorado. He is a little shy until he gets to know you and then he is a happy-go-lucky, sweet little pup, with the energy level of a puppy. He likes women a lot, is a bit reserved with men and is good with both cats and dogs: that being said, he can be a bit annoying with cats at first and at times, plays too rough with one of the dogs at his foster home. He does much better with the other dog that is his size and may prefer to not have large dogs in his home. We have not tested Yuki with children.

Yuki does like to get in to everything, so he needs to be crated when you are not at home for his safety. He was not used to being crated and can be pretty vocal; at this time apartments are not a good fit for him, though he is making progress and quieting down faster than before. If the crate door is open, Yuki will go in and lay on the pillow, it's when the door is closed that he becomes loud. Yuki is a bit of a bolter, as well, so we do want adopters who are very conscientious about keeping him safe.

Yuki was not well-socialized as a pup and is working on his basic manners, impulse control and especially, being handled for things like grooming (though again, he is making some progress). Yuki's adoption fee is $350 and includes his neuter, de-worming, vaccinations, heartworm test, microchip and 6 week professional training course.
