Velvet's Story...
Here is another of the kitties rescued from our friendly kitty colony here in Middletown. Her new name is Velvet. Here is her foster's comments. Thanks Kelly from Monroe Family Pet Hospital for fostering her.

This sweet little girl is my foster from the Middletown colony. She was a little shy at first but has completely come out of her shell in just one week. She now seeks out attention and enjoys being held. She would be best in a pretty quiet home. Maybe no small children or loud dogs. She is very lovable with people but dogs and loud anything scares her.

She is about 7 months and is available for adoption. Fully vetted and now socialized inside a home.

Adoption fee of $50.00 includes shots, spay or neuter and initial vetting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Velvet, a Middletown Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Middletown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Middletown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Middletown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Middletown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Middletown paves the way for another one to be saved.
