Fergus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Fergus's Story...
This is a very sweet boy who came to us from an East TN shelter together with his sister Fiona (see separate listing).

He loves people, and is submissive to older dogs. He is leash trained, paper trained but not completely house trained yet, and does well in new situations. He is also crate trained. Fergus still gets a little stressed when riding in the car, but is growing out of his carsickness.

Fergus is a very smart and high energy young dog. He needs a family who will give him plenty of exercise and stimulus. He will settle down well in a crate, and needs to be in a home where he can interact with the family. He does well with both children and adults. He has never been tested around cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fergus, a Oliver Springs Border Collie/Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Collie for sale in Oliver Springs, or seeking a Border Collie/Collie puppy from a breeder in Oliver Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oliver Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oliver Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Collie breeders who help with Border Collie/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oliver Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
