Nicolas and Christian - At Petco's Story...

Nicolas and Christian are a bonded pair. They are special needs kitties. They have Cerebellar Hypoplasia but are sweet as can be and have a good prognosis for a long and normal life. Their heads bob a little, they wobble a bit when they walk and run and can't jump (no counter surfing for these boys!) but are otherwise normal, loving, gentle kitties. To learn about their condition (which is mild) please read:  http://www.felinecerebellarhypoplasia.com/

* Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered, combo tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines, treated for parasites, and most have microchips. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $125.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nicolas and Christian - At Petco, a Germantown Russian Blue cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Russian Blue cat from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
