Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Joanie was taken from the shelter in less then ideal condition. She had just been hit by a car and 90% of her body was covered in road rash. She was walking on 3 legs because she had sustained an injury to her back hind leg. She was about 20lbs under weight. You could see her entire skeleton. Her paws were swollen from infection she had got from the open wounds. As well as being covered in fleas.
But you know what they say .... the past is in the past! 6 weeks after her rescue Joanie is like a new dog! She still has a few scars from the road rash, and limps from time to time on her back leg, but she feels 100% better. Joanie adores dogs of all sizes & ages she can play with them all day long. She is still a pretty good eater. Joanie loves to go in her crate to rest, but you will rarely find her there during the day as she has a lot of dogs friends to play with at her foster home. She is still learning her doggy manners, but is very receptive to correction/direction. We think she is about a year old, but acts as though she is around 6 months. Joanie is the most affectionate girl you will meet. she loves people!
Joanie would do excellent in a home that can provide her with the proper guidance, socialization, and structure. With these things she will make the best family ever!
