My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kumo is owned by Whitney - this is her story of Kumo
Kumo is a Lynx-Point Siamese mix. He was born in Feb. 2009 and is 5 years old. He has baby blue eyes. Very laid back, talkative and affectionate. Not aggressive. Neutered. He is not de-clawed.
He was adopted from the ASPCA of Cincinnati in 2009 by me as the only owner. I am currently moving and am unable to take him with me.

I want him to go to a good home, preferably with kids and other animals so he is not bored. He is very affectionate and will not show aggression. I don’t think I have ever heard him hiss. EVER. He is a cuddle cat. Prefers to cuddle, be held, or near you.

He grew up with 2 dogs (rot/chow mix and a beagle) and spent another 2 years with a Calico kitten as a companion. Currently lives with 1 dog and 2 other cats perfectly fine. He is well adjusted to other animals.

He has only been an indoor cat. However, he is curious about the outdoors and wants to go out on the porch frequently (just the deck area). He can be a strict indoor cat or transitioned into an indoor/outdoor cat.

He is very shy at first, so if adopted will take some warming up to get close to him. He typically will hide under beds or couches until he is comfortable. He is very talkative and likes to be heard, which makes for funny conversations with a cat. He does respond to his name when he is called, which is pronounced koo-mow. It is Japanese for “cloud” (he was off-white when he was a kitten – the Siamese).

Recent vet visit suggests that he is a little overweight and I have been cutting down on his food intake. He has lost a good 3 pounds. He’s at around 16 pounds currently.
