Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MISCHIEF is an 8 month old neutered black male Lab who weighs 37 pounds but should gain about 10 to 15. Mischief loves people, when you meet him he will come up and sit at your feet looking up as if to say please pet me, when you do he wraps his paws around you so you can give him your undivided attention. He is learning to play with toys, don't think he has any before. He is a favorite with the Animal care folks at the kennel as he is so loving. Good with other dogs, was in a yard with several other Lab rescue pups. He knows some commands sit and come. He is pretty good on lead but better with an Easy Walk Harness. He is crate trained and may be house trained as he is keeping his room clean at the kennel. MIschief is from a rural area and probably not due well in a city environment/townhouse/condo/apartment or busy neighborhood. He also would to better with someone who is home most of the day as he does not do well crated for long periods of time.. He is approved for kids 10+.
Update (11/23): Mischief is doing great. Earlier today he splashed in a pile of leaves for about 15 minutes straight. He's pretty much a lap dog, very gentle. His temperament is very eager to please, so he would benefit from positive training. He would be happiest in a house where his humans are home more than not, or he has another dog to snuggle and play with during the day. He's house and crate trained, rides well in a car, walks well on a leash, loves food and Kongs, and follows his fosters around in the fenced-in yard. He gets very excited when he meets new people and he is still learning not to jump on them. If left unsupervised he will get himself in trouble. He's a puppy, so he's still learning the world by putting everything in his mouth. He'll learn eventually what's what and in the meantime, he has learned to play with toys. He plays chase and tug with the resident lab all the time. But most of all he just wants to snuggle with the humans.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has between 50 ~ 80 dogs available for adoption.
