Our Smokey is a very handsome 2 1/2 year old black lab/catahoula mix weighing 68 lbs. His handsome features are completed with two different colored eyes...one blue and one brown. Smokey is an affectionate, lovable, and playful boy with his humans but he must be an only dog. He has always been a great friend to his humans and lived with his previous family for 2 years. Unfortunately he did not do well with the 'new' dog so they felt it was best to have rescue find him a single dog home (Smokey being the single dog). There can be no exceptions and this will have to be a forever commitment. He loves to go on walks and will be okay meeting other dogs while leashed, he just wants his people to be 'mine all mine'. Smokey is very sweet and affectionate with his humans. He prefers to sleep with his loved ones so he can be right there for them if needed. Well, okay maybe he just really likes sleeping on the bed...but only cuz that's where the people are! He is a mellow laid back boy who wants nothing more than to have people of his very own to love for the rest of his life. He will happily give hugs, kisses, and cuddles unconditionally to the people in his life (and a few strangers). Smokey has wonderful house manners and is well past all that puppy chaos. He enjoys spending his free time just chilling out and chewing on a good nyla bone or running around the yard chasing a frisbee. This delightful guy is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. Smokey's world has been turned upside down and inside out so he is looking to be with that special person who will love and respect his desire to be your one and only. His life's ambition? To wake up next to you and know that he belongs to the one who is 'mine all mine'.
