Cocoa's Story...
Hi, I'm Cocoa and I'm a littermate to the other 5 puppies. I was surrendered because my owner didn't have time for me. My mother is a St. Bernard mix and my father is a Plott Hound. I'm 9 weeks old (DOB 2/8/08). I'm said to be good with kids, other dogs and cats and I'd like a responsible owner who will get me out to meet lots of new people and other animals! As part of a commitment to reducing pet overpopulation, I will be adopted out on a neuter contract which includes a deposit that will be refunded when you provide proof from you veterinarian that I have been altered, which MUST be done by the time I'm 6 months old!! If you are interested in providing a loving responsible forever home and you have the time to properly train, socialize and love a loveable little boy like me, please contact the shelter and don't forget to include my ID number! If you can't honor the neuter contract and have me altered and keep me up to date on my shots, please don't adopt me!!

ALL ANIMALS MUST BE ALTERED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ADOPTION OR BY SIX MONTHS OF AGE!!!

Act quickly to adopt Cocoa. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cocoa, a Ladysmith St. Bernard/Plott Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/Plott Hound for sale in Ladysmith, or seeking a St. Bernard/Plott Hound puppy from a breeder in Ladysmith.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ladysmith already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ladysmith breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/Plott Hound breeders who help with St. Bernard/Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ladysmith paves the way for another one to be saved.
