Bonnie's Story...
SEE VIDEO ALSO ON THIS PAGE!

Hi! I'm a four-year-old, 12 pound, Dachshund mix named Bonnie! Sadly, I was attacked by a mean coyote before being dropped at East Valley Shelter. Thankfully, the nice people at Downtown Dog Rescue rescued me! Now, I'm all healed up and my coat is growing back in really nicely and I am looking for my furever home. I absolutely love people and giving kisses. I think playing with other dogs is fun too, so if you have another pup at home, I don't mind sharing your heart. I'm very smart too and learn super-fast. I walk really well on leash (see my video), am housebroken and crate-trained! If you have the time, I'd love to learn some more tricks! But most of all, I'd love a comfy place to curl up at night. Are you the one I've been waiting for? I'm up-to-date on all my shots, spayed and micro-chipped. If I sound like a good fit for your home, come meet me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a Los Angeles Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
