My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello,

My name is Mel and I am just the cutest Quaker ever! My foster mommy says I talk, A LOT, and I do squeak some too, but I am a bird, you know! I am not as nippy as most Quakers are in there cage but I can be if you show fear towards me. I prefer adult hands when getting me out my cage, but my beak isn't that big, please so don't be scared, we just have to get used to each other! Once away from my cage I will sit on your shoulder for hours if you let me. That's pretty much my favorite spot to sit. Foster mommy says the vet thinks I'm a little chubby so I have to go on a diet. My old mommy loved me, but she is no longer in this world and she loved to feed me seeds and dinner food from her plate. I can't blame her for only wanting to feed me the "good" stuff, but foster mom says I cant' have that stuff now. She is trying to get me to eat these things called pellets as well as fresh veggies, some fruits, and healthy nuts.

I really do hope you come to meet me because I want a forever home to call my own as I am only 10 years young! I say so many things and I will keep you laughing. My favorite phrase is Gimme kiss, I say it in a soft whisper voice so it can be a secret between you and me!

See you soon!

Sincerely,

Mel the Quaker.
