Chewy's Story...
Chewy – Pure Chocolate Labrador Retriever! Chewy was born 14 April 2012 making him 2.5 yrs old. He has been neutered and is up to date on all his shots. Chewy and his brother Boo are the collateral damage of divorce. It appears he is from a back yard breeder and was purchased by a couple who are now divorcing. He was banned to the back yard never allowed in the house until the split – he was then only allowed in at night to sleep. He has had no training or socialization although he is a very fast learner! He is learning basic commands but needs serious training for socialization with other dogs. He actually would prefer just people in his life. He is a true lab and loves to chase balls or any toy and loves to be petted. He is full grown and weighs 78 pounds.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy, a Torrance Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
