Usher's Story...
Meet Usher - approx 3.5 - 4 yr. old shih tzu mix. 10lbs. Usher was pulled out of Seaaca a coupe of months ago. He had a bad case of pneumonia and was hospitalized for a few days. He has fully recovered, thank goodness. Usher is a GREAT dog, and will make for a great companion and or family dog. He is submissive and quiet. He loves to cuddle, and he definitely bonds with his human. He'll follow you everywhere you go. He loves to take walks and does very well on a leash. Usher is potty trained and does not mark, although there are no guarantees. Consistency is key. We feel Usher would do well with someone who is home with him a lot. Another dog would be fine. If you feel you could be Ushers forever family, please email us, let us know a little about yourself and your lifestyle. He will be ready to go home anytime after 11/21/14.

Thank you for looking

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Usher, a Playa Del Rey Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Playa Del Rey, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Playa Del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Playa Del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Playa Del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Playa Del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
