Cookie's Story...
Have no fear.... Ms. Cookie is here.... I was found in the county wondering the roads and some how I found myself at the animal shelter. I have to say that it's not all bad here. I mean the volunteers have taken such good care of me. They cleaned my ears, bathed me, and believe it or not they even brushed me with this big old brush. It scared me at first ... I mean come on you would be scared to if you seen this big thing coming at you, but after realizing that it was okay.... I just wanted to go to sleep. Well... now I am trying to find a good home. I have a brother named Two-Step and we would love to stay together...Well if you could make room for us both that sure would be nice of you. Why don't you think about it, and if you can come on over and talk to the adoption lady.... Think of me, Ms. Cookie

Act quickly to adopt Cookie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Brenham Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler for sale in Brenham, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Brenham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brenham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brenham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brenham paves the way for another one to be saved.
