Spica was named after the brightest star in the constellation Virgo, and she lives up to her name with her luminous personality! She adores people! Big people, little people, all people!
She will go with you anywhere, by foot or by wheels, or lay beside you for eternity. She would very much enjoy being the only doggie you love, so she can have all the hugs and rubs, but she loves some dogs (such as her little 12 pound running / sleeping / playing buddy! So having the right four legged friend could be great as well!
Spica is now seven and a half years old (Nov 2014), weighs close to 50 pounds, thinks a good rawhide is a great chew, and is what we call an 'easy keeper'. She doesn't mind being alone if you go to work (gives her more time to save up kisses) nor if you bring the whole office over for a party after! She'll fit right in!
If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting!
'This handsome dog is a participant in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so their ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.'
