My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sylvia's original owners were found!!

Hi everyone! My name is Sylvia and I am a senior female brown tabby approximately 10-12 years of age. I sadly was found as a stray. I was very friendly but very hungry. My rescuer took me to the vet where it was found that I was already spayed so I belonged to someone at some point:( The vet also found that I am in the first stage of kidney disease but hopefully my new prescription cat food specifically made to improve kidney function will help me live a
longer and happier life. My rescuer cannot keep me as she has cats of her own and I am terrified of them. To keep me stress-free she has to keep me in a room all by myself which is very lonely. She is hoping to find me a loving home with no young children or other pets where I can be more comfortable and completely stress free.

I am a sweet and playful girl! I eat well and use my litter box. I love to lay on my rescuer's lap in the morning after breakfast and be petted where I just purr and do happy feet! I will put my paws around her hand, without using my claws at all, and softly bite it. Then after that it's playtime and I love it!! I will play with any toy she brings out and I get very excited! Sometimes when I get like that I don't want her to touch me and if she does I will grab her hand softly with my mouth and hit it with my paws, in a non aggressive manner, and meow at her. I keep my claws in every time:) That is my way of saying leave me alone. I am a talker, too, and I definitely let you know that I love you!

If you have a special place in your home and heart for a sweet senior kitty like me, please don't hesitate to fill out an adoption application for me at www.KittyJunction.org or if you have any questions at all about me, please mail KittyJunction@aol.com!!
