Orphan Kittens's Story...
We were found in a drainage ditch and our Mom could not be found. We were born on September 10 and have been doing well considering we have not had a mom! Our names are:

Uno - black male; Dos - black male; Tres - black female; Quatro - female tortie; Cinco - female tortie; Seis - female tortie

We are too young to be seen or reserved, but once we reach 6 weeks of age and have our first vaccines you could reserve us with an approved adoption application and a $20 non refundable deposit. We will be spayed or neutered when we reach 12 weeks of age AND 3 pounds in weight and then we would be able to go home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Orphan Kittens, a Des Moines American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Des Moines, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Des Moines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Des Moines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Des Moines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Des Moines paves the way for another one to be saved.
