OSCAR & BENTLEY IN AUSTIN, TEXAS HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!

For seven years Oscar, the Griff, and Bentley, the Beagle, have been best friends. Sadly, their family could no longer keep them and needed to find them new homes. NBGR stepped in to help by taking Oscar into their program and tried to find a Beagle rescue to help Bentley but had no luck. When that failed the next option was Bentley would be sent to a shelter. Not wanting that to happen one of our wonderful foster homes stepped up and opened their hearts and home to both boys.
Now that Oscar and Bentley have been in their foster home we are happy none of the Beagle groups stepped up because these two boys are FFF’s – Fur Friends Furever. Splitting them up would be like splitting up Batman & Robin, Lone Ranger & Tonto or Ben & Jerry. So, these two are a package deal.
Oscar is seven years old and weighs 20 lbs. He is playful, gets along with other dogs and respectful children. He is housebroken, crate and leash trained. He likes to go for walks and cuddle with his human or wherever Bentley may be hanging out.
Bentley is 10 years old and weighs 30 lbs. sadly, he was hit by a car a few years ago and lost his right front leg but that doesn’t hold him back. He bounds up the stairs in his foster home without a problem. Bentley loves to hang out and play with Oscar. And enjoys rumbling with his foster brother Buster. He is house trained, leash trained and does well with children. Bentley has not shown signs of being an excessive barker.
Oscar and Bentley would love to have a family who has a nice size backyard so they can run and play. They both love to go for leisurely strolls. Both boys are neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations, micro chipped, heartworm negative and on preventative. Now all they need is a forever family who, like their foster family, will open their hearts and home so these two can continue to stay together until the very end.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
