Hi - my name is Vivian, and I just turned two this April. The woman who found me called me Baby, but my foster mom thought I needed a more sophisticated name, and said I looked more like a Vivian. Cool, huh? I am a little chatty sometimes because I like to let you know I'm around. As soon as you sit down I will be on your lap. Think how nice that will be this coming winter. I would do best in an adult-only home, but could do okay with respectful children over 10. I like to play with a small dog that a friend brings to visit my foster mom, so I might like living with a dog of my own, or another low-key cat.
The woman who was feeding me outside first brought me to a shelter and they said that I had a virus called FIV, which made me at high risk to be euthanized. Fortunately, Broken Tail Rescue stepped in and saved me! Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) attacks the immune system, so if I get sick with a cold it can take me a little longer to recover than most cats. It's VERY hard for one cat to give it to another cat, and we can't give it to other kinds of pets, or to humans. You should know that I'm most likely to live a long and healthy life despite this virus, as long as I am an indoor-only kitty.
