Gemma's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Gemma's Story...
10-month-old Gemma is a resident of the Bristol Animal Shelter and a participant in Handsome Dan's Rescue Shelter Dog Enrichment Program. She attends weekly training classes at Outbound Hounds with her Enrichment Specialist, Adina.

Gemma is sweet, smart and super loving. She is great with all people she has met, is a super star in group training class, earning her Student of the Week honors last week!

The shelter setting is proving to be a little too much for Gemma so it would be best to get her a home asap, and to schedule her meet and greet at an off site location. If you are interested in meeting Gemma, or finding out more about her, please contact Adina at amd3@grad.bryant.edu or give her a call at 401.265.0890.

Thank you for choosing rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gemma, a Cranston American Staffordshire Terrier/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Bulldog for sale in Cranston, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Cranston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/American Bulldog breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranston paves the way for another one to be saved.
