Miss Puff's Story...
Meet Miss Puff. She was a breeder in a commercial breeding facility. She is a tiny 7 pound pup, about 3 years old that initially bit out of fear but now comes and begs to be picked up and loves to give and get kisses. She has a lot to learn as she has no socialization. She is not yet spay as she is in heat but will have a dental and be spay asap. She is HW, fecal negative, spayed, and up to date with shots. She is an energizer bunny. She is doing quite good with the housebreaking lessons and taught herself the doggie door the first day here. She will be a funny, loving, cuddly companion for the right family. Because she is still jumpy at times and faster than a nascar she needs a fenced yard and no small kids at this point. She likes others dogs and is very playful. If interested in Miss Puff, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS!

Adoption donation is $250.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miss Puff, a Homer Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Homer, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
