Hobbes is a pretty special guy. When he first arrived he was afraid of everything and everyone, he had been trapped by Animal Control and was a nervous wreck.
After a year or so of patience and love, Hobbes has come a very long way. Hobbes is affectionate and smart, and walks well on a leash.
Hobbes really needs a home with a yard with a good 6' wooden fence for him to hang out in when he feels like it, and most likely a canine buddy to keep him company.
All of our dogs are available for a $150 donation. This includes them being spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and fully vaccinated.
To adopt a dog, we require an approved pre-application, as well as a securely fenced yard. This means an actual, physical, fence. 'Invisible' fences are not acceptable, sorry. If you live in an apartment and do not have a yard, we are not able to adopt to you.
Please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Please note: we typically do not do 'out of the area' adoptions. This would be any location more than 60 miles away from the Reno/Carson City area.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
