Vinnie's Info...

I am housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Vinnie's Story...
Vinnie is a 6-months-old Lab mix. He came to our a rescue a couple of months ago with his 4 siblings. All pups got adopted pretty quick. Two of Vinnie's sibling went to become therapy/service dogs to work with autistic kids. Vinnie went to a home in San Antonio, but unfortunately due to a career change (long work hours and lots of traveling), Vinnie was brought back to the rescue. He now needs a new home.

We are not sure what Vinnie is mix with. We were told he was a Dane mix, but there is no way he has a Dane in him. Definitely a Lab mix. Not sure what he is mixed with, but if I had to guess, I say he is a Lab/Beagle.

Regardless of the breed, Vinnie will be a great addition to any family that is looking for a sweet, loving & playful companion pet. He has a great temperament and he is very smart. He loves other dogs, big and small and he is good around cats. Wonderful with kids. He is crate trained and house broken.

If you would like to give Vinnie a new loving home, please fill out the adoption application on our website. www.pawsofaustin.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vinnie, a Austin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
