Winston's Story...
Winston is a 5 month old Wheaten Terrier with TONS of personality! He is neutered, up-to-date with shots, microchipped, as well as crate and housetrained.
His previous owners, before abandoning him at the Orange County Animal Care Shelter, didn’t take the time to teach him anything. But we knew he had great potential, and so we took him to James A. Musick Facility. Under the tutelage of inmate trainers, he's quickly learned to sit, down, stay, come, and walk nicely on a leash. All this has happened in only a couple weeks – he’s a speedy learner! Winston loves a good time; he enjoys playing with people, other dogs, or solo-style with his doggie toys. If you are looking for a dog who has good humor and a joy for life, you’ve found your guy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Santa Ana Wheaten Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier for sale in Santa Ana, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier puppy from a breeder in Santa Ana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Ana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Ana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Ana paves the way for another one to be saved.
