Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Raspberry lives life large! She takes full advantage of every day, she has a lot to do and she is going to try to fit it all in. She has toys to play with, dogs to engage, people who must pet her and occasionally some office work to do! She loves to play with her foster brother and sister but also does a fabulous job of entertaining herself with her toys and chews. She also enjoys her walks…so much good stuff to smell and people to see. She doesn't mind the cold overall and chases around in the backyard with her husky foster sister. It goes without saying that she is completely adorable. She would love to have a home with a fenced yard and another dog who would like to race too. She might like a home with cats but cats probably would not love a home with Raspberry. She is a bit too exuberant for them. Raspberry is a cuddle bug and would need a forever family that thinks cuddling is just as great as she does. What else are laps for? She also prefers to sleep in bed with her person. In true Raz form she runs to bed, jumps in and is so excited to snuggle up. Raspberry is estimated to be about 8.5 months old and weighs about 15 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't6 know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday December 27, 2014, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
