My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Once Kissy got settled into her foster home she found her spunky side and now enjoys making up games to play with her toys and with the resident dog. One of her favorite games is hiding underneath the 65 lb resident dog, then jumping out to be 'gotten'! She gets along great with other dogs, kids and everyone she meets. She sleeps with her foster family at night without needing to get up and without accidents. She is potty trained when on a schedule. She also enjoys going into her crate for rest time or to chew on a bone. She loves her crate and spends time resting there or chewing on a bone. She is now trained to stay in the crate for a few hours at a time while we are gone, otherwise she's gated in the kitchen without accidents or chewing on things. Despite her petite frame and short hair, she loves being outside for walks or playtime, she just might need a sweater. Whoever adopts this girl is one lucky person/family! We just can't get over what a special girl she is, one of a kind. Kissy is a sweet, compact-sized pooch who loves to sit in laps and prance around the house and has all the tail-wags and kisses to give. Kissy is estimated to be about 7.5 months old and weighs about 17 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.

All dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.

Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.

We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday January 10, 2015, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
