My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rex is a gorgeous 2-3 year old German Shepherd. Rex is tall and handsome, weighing in about 80 lbs...and has the most mesmerizing auburn eyes that will make you do a double-take. He walks incredibly well on leash, always minding his manners and, if he occasionally walks a little ahead, he looks back to make sure that you are still following closely behind. Rex is mid-energy, but loves to run and would make a terrific jogging buddy. Rex can be a little dominant when meeting some dogs, but he gets along perfectly with submissive female dogs, both big and small. He enters doggie playgroups cautiously and prefers socializing with mannerly dogs; he does not care for the pushy males. Rex barks at cats and wants to chase them, but does not get overly excited. We think it's because they are new to him. With proper introductions and consistent training he could learn to live peacefully with a "dog savvy" cat. Rex is so friendly and polite with every human he meets. He normally greets new people with a tail wag and a gentle nudge. He looks forward to going into his crate at bedtime and is quiet all night. He is a complete sweetheart who will benefit from more doggie socialization and exposure to new environments, as well as an owner who will be committed to continuing with training. He wonders how, with his striking looks and big heart, he ended up homeless in the first place. He just can’t wait to go home with his new family, who will shower him with love and appreciate his loyalty. Would that be you?

Rex is Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350. Please go to www.raincityrescue.com and click on "adopt" to submit the application asap!
