Like any good couple, Gracie and Georgie balance each other out.

Gracie is sweet, loyal, and the best big sister to Georgie who is a little more laid back and reserved. They share everything, play gently, and curl up together every night. They are siblings that are sort of opposite yet so alike and together their personalities blend so well. And while the two would make great pets, they have been with us a while, most likely because they are a bit shy at first and come as a package deal.

It generally takes longer to find adoptive homes for a bonded pair of cats. But separating a twosome like Georgie & Gracie, who have lived together since kittens, would be devastating to them both.

So we need help in finding the perfect home for them which would be a quieter, calmer home that would appreciate the great amount of love these two have for each other and the greater the amount of love in the home they will bring.  Will that home be yours?

About Caring About The Strays Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Since our founding in 1995 by Lynn Cancro, Caring About The Strays (C.A.T.S.), Inc. has worked to find “forever homes” for abandoned, unwanted, neglected, or abused companion animals.

All the animals in our care are in foster homes, which helps socialize the cat or dog and allows us to identify the best type of home for each animal to ensure a successful adoption. We also work to reduce the overpopulation of feral cats with our Trap-Neuter-Release program. In addition, our team also strives to educate the public about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to decrease the number of unwanted pets.

C.A.T.S. is not a shelter in the traditional sense; we rely on private foster homes to house the many unwanted animals in our care.

Our Resale Shop (80 Kinderkamack Road in Westwood, NJ) helps fund our efforts. Please consider donating to our Resale Shop. Donations of brand-new and gently-used items are needed year-round and can be donated during shop hours Monday – Saturday 10:00 – 5:00.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our animals are given wonderful care in private foster homes. In order to meet them, we require a completed application, which you can find at our website, www.care4strays.org.

Also, please check our website for adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in our process is to fill out our online application at our website, www.care4strays.org. Once received, it will be reviewed by one of our trained volunteers. If approved, we'll be in touch to arrange a "meet and greet" with the animal. All of our cats/dogs are in private foster homes.
