Say hello to Olive, a beautiful, sweet girl who wants to please, wants to snuggle, wants to be with you, but is perfectly content in her kennel with some toys and a soft blanket if need be. In just one week, Olive has come a long way at her foster home. She’s learned to wait and be invited inside instead of bolting through the door with joy; she’s learned to share toys with the other dogs (and play tug of war and play wrestle); and she’s learned the cat doesn’t want to be herded. She’s learning stay and down and not to be afraid to get in the car (although she loves riding in the car!). This 34-pound pup adores children, and at one point had 5 of them petting her as she sprawled out on the floor, belly up, smiling. She’s submissive to all she meets—human, dog, or cat—but is attentive and alert and she bonds quickly. She happily curls up nearby when her foster mom is working at home and has been left outside with another dog for upwards of 7 hours without any problems. Excellent on a leash, she’s been allowed to free roam the house, also without any problems. Olive would do best in a home with children or another dog, or if she gets plenty of attention when her people are home from work—or all three!

All Dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and given a physical by a veterinarian prior to adoption.
