Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Edgar is a magnificent hunk of a mellow, strong, easy-going and friendly, two to three-year-old, 93-pound, male purebred Black and Tan Coonhound looking for a loving guardian.
Edgar is a gentle and playful soul with a great disposition who is full of kisses, snuggles and tail wags for everyone he meets. He loves people and rolls over for belly rubs. He is typically good with other dogs, but will chase a cat if it runs or hisses at him ... and he will definitely tree squirrels and chase bunnies.
Edgar loves long walks, greeting people and other dogs. He is not at all reactive on leash (unless he sees a squirrel or bunny). He settles down in the home and is a couch potato who loves to snuggle and snore, on the sofa. Edgar loves being part of a family and enjoys the company of other dogs. He does have some separation anxiety, so he's looking for a situation where someone is home more often than not, and can work with him on his training.
Edgar is housebroken, very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, heartworm and fecal tested, and micro-chipped. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact Sheri at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. His adoption fee of $150 benefits rescued pets. He is being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
