Chubbs's Story...
Chubbs is a lovable 7 month old male cat. Raised by one of our volunteers from birth. He has a fantastic personality and would make a very loyal loving cat for your family. He is litter box trained and current on all shots.

Chubbs is a very vocal kitty, he loves to talk with you. One of his favorite toys is a laser light and feathers on a stick with the little bell. Chubbs will play so hard you have to make him stop to rest because he will be panting. He is a very energetic boy! Of course he also loves to sit in your lap, cuddle, and get kisses. He is an all around wonderful boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chubbs, a Waynesville American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Waynesville, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Waynesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waynesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waynesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waynesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
