Sophie's Story...
My name is Sophie. I'm a young adult, female German Shepherd mix. I arrived at the shelter on 11/16/14 as a stray from San Leandro, and have been available for adoption since 11/21/14. I'm an active, energetic girl who will need a home where I will receive regular exercise, and continued work on my leash skills and basic obedience training; preferably someone with previous large dog experience. I would prefer a home with no other dogs. I have been vaccinated and dewormed, and will be spayed and microchipped before going to my new home. You can find me in kennel B-5.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Dublin German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Dublin, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Dublin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dublin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dublin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dublin paves the way for another one to be saved.
