Carter's Story...
Carter (Mr. Ca-ter) here … I was red-listed at the kill shelter when tons of people rallied to save me with pledges. Our website chick kept seeing my sad face pop up again and again and couldn’t respond with the usual response that we are at our winter capacity. She didn’t realize I only looked sad because I wanted to be put down on the floor to run like a wild man! I know how to work this sad face to my advantage … and it saved my life! She decided to call in her rare card and have Mama Donna pull me.

They thought I was 7 years old at the shelter. Yeah, no …. Doc says I look fantastic and am only 2-3 years old at the most. I’m heartworm negative, but have kennel cough, so I’m being kept separated for now. I’ll need to be neutered, but other than that, I’ll be ready to go. I love everyone I meet and am fine with other dogs. I weigh about 12 lbs. I could use a pound or two, but I’m still as cute as they come!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carter, a Conyers Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Conyers, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Conyers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conyers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conyers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conyers paves the way for another one to be saved.
