Hanno's Info...

I am a special needs pet.

Hanno's Story...
Hanno is a handsome pearl merle hooded rex dumbo boy. He came to CTRR because his owner couldn't care for him or afford veterinary treatment. Hanno is approximately two years old. He came to us quite neglected - extremely obese and covered in lice, with a bad case of bumblefoot. He is currently receiving treatment.

Hanno is a sweet and cuddly guy who gives kisses. He will need a special home that will monitor his condition carefully. We will not be neutering Hanno due to his age/health.

For more information, email centraltexasratrescue@gmail.com. Hanno's adoption fee is $15.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hanno, a Austin Rat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat for sale in Austin, or seeking a Rat from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat breeders who help with Rat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
