Red's Info...

I am not good with kids.

Red's Story...
Red was not getting along with the other dog in his home so he was brought to our shelter to find a new permanent forever home. We are recommending no small children as Red has lots of energy and tends to play rough. Also, if there is another dog in his new forever home, he will need to "meet" his prospective sibling to make sure everyone will "play nice in the sandbox". Red is a great guy and would be a wonderful hunting dog. He is about 9-10 months old and just full of love and fun.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red, a Sierra Vista Hound (Unknown Type)/Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Sierra Vista, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Sierra Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sierra Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sierra Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sierra Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
