My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi People!
I’m Skippy, a cuddly, gentle, adorable and delightful Bichon mix of one who loves everyone and everything! And I want everyone to know it because Life is Good! I love my foster family! I love my doggy foster brother! I love car rides! I love walks! I love to give kisses! I love toys and I love to play! Everything is my favorite thing to do!
Mom says that I’m her little shadow – and that I’m very smart, social and want to please. She says I’m one of the gentlest and most well-behaved furkids she has ever met – and that I’m amazingly mature for such a young guy. (Aw, Mom, you are making me blush!) I get along with everyone and love other dogs. Mom says I’m so smart that I give clues about what I need - and she knows how to interpret those clues (Mom is really smart, too.) So when I want a belly rub, play time or to chase my doggy foster brother in the back yard Mom knows just what to do!
Dad says I’m housebroken, working on my commands, and am well behaved. He loves to watch me play with my toys and romp in the yard. Like most bichons, I enjoy having my people near me (I’m so good that I get to sleep in the Big People’s bed already!) and that I don’t bark. I’m also comfortable being at home “alone” (as long as I have my doggy foster brother and sister near me.)
I’m just a happy, healthy, exuberant little guy who loves life and would love to have my own family to share my joy and love – and definitely a doggy brother or sister my own size to play with! Children or grandchildren would be a big plus! In return, I will do my best to keep everyone smiling and feeling important and loved. (That will be easy for me because whatever family adopts me will be my whole world.)
So if you are looking for a best friend who will give lots of cuddles, then I am the dog for the job. And I am ready for my life’s next assignment.
Tail wags and doggy kisses,
Sociable and Very Special Skippy
