Powder's Story...
Powder is a sweet little solid white 9-10 week old kitten. Although she is not blue eyed, she is deaf. Because she is deaf she is incredibly outgoing and absolutely nothing scares her. She is playful, fun, likes to chase the vacuum and it’s cord and just a great all around kitten. She sleeps through just about anything! She loves to lay on your lap and finds warm places to sleep in the house (like electronics and heater grates). She loves to sleep with you too. Because she is deaf she can never ever be an indoor/outdoor kitty, so her future home is indoor only for her lifetime. She is currently fostered with other kittens, adult cats and large dogs and she gets along with everybody. Would you like to meet her? Please email info@FORrescue.net. You may also complete our application at http://forrescue.net/cat-application/. Powder is fostered in Madison, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Powder, a Chattanooga Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
