Gidget's Story...
Our Gidget is it! That is, she is a very sweet and happy dog that is eager to tag along with you anywhere. She is friendly and outgoing, walks great on a leash, and is just a pleasure to be around. Gidget is at that perfect age where she still has plenty of energy to be active but can also appreciate quiet time at home with her person. She will make a wonderful companion!

Gidget participates in big dog playgroups at the shelter. She loves to romp and run with her canine friends! Gidget attends weekly BAD RAP training classes with a volunteer handler and can continue for FREE ($100 value) with her adopters after she goes home. Class focuses on basic obedience skills and proper manners in close proximity to other dog-handler teams. Gidget is doing great in class.

Gidget is such a good girl and so adorable with her pretty brindle coat and big bunny ears! Come meet her today and see why we love her so!

Act quickly to adopt Gidget. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
