Millie's Story...
Millie is looking for a new home! She and her sister Luna lost their mom at 2 days of age and were taken in by another nursing mom. This little bundle of fuzz loves to play, chase, and wrestle with her siblings. Even though she is tiny in size, she makes up for it in energy and spunk.

Adoption fee: $75 (Includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, worming, and FeLV/FIV test - over $250 worth of veterinary care!)
Go to www.ColumbusPetRescue.com to begin the adoption process today. We have invested time, money, and care into our feline friends and want to ensure they never have to be abandoned again. Click on "available pet" and scroll down to find the adoption application. After filling out an application, e-mail it to ColumbusPetRescueConnie@gmail.com. We will process your information and check veterinary and other references. Finally you will be scheduled for a home visit to make sure the environment is perfect for your new family member. Once you are approved, the process is simple: choose your new kitten, meet and greet him or her, and, if all goes well, you have yourself a new pet. (All kittens will be spayed or neutered at 12 weeks before going to their new home.) E-mail your application to ColumbusPetRescueConnie@gmail.com today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Columbus Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
