Norman's Story...
Norman is a male German Shepherd / Bullmastiff mix, and he was born in July of 2014. He will be a very big boy by the time he is done growing, his mom weighs about 65 pounds, and his dad weighs about 120 pounds. He is a nice puppy who needs consistency and training. He will need a fenced-in yard in his new home, and children should be 8 years old or older. He should do well with most other dogs, but use caution with cats. Norman will be a wonderful companion.

*Norman's adoption fee is $200. All HSSCM puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and they are on monthly heartworm/flea prevention.*

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Battle Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Battle Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Bullmastiff breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Bullmastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Battle Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
