I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

BUFFY (video)'s Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

BUFFY (video)'s Story...
I am a 1-year-old spayed female Papillon mix. I weigh in at a whopping 8 pounds. As you can see, I am a dainty little gal. Tall and slender describes me perfectly. Because of my small stature, I would make the greatest travel partner. I'd fit perfectly in your lap during a road trip or in a carrier under your airplane seat. And, I just so happen to always be up for new adventures, too!

I greet everyone I meet with a great big smile and a happily wagging tail that never stops. It doesn't matter if you're a canine or a human, you're a friend to me! If you are looking for a very well-socialized pup, look no further. I'm definitely the one for you.

You probably want to know a little about my past. Am I right? Here's what's known. I was found as a stray on the streets of Los Angeles. Before you get any crazy ideas in your head that I was some spoiled pup who ran away from my home in Beverly Hills, let me tell you, where I come from is not so pretty. It's no place for a sweet, innocent pup like me.

Anyway, after I was caught, I found myself at the South LA animal shelter. That's a high-kill city shelter for those of you who aren't familiar with the place. When I got there, the staff noticed that I was in heat. Because of that, I wasn't allowed to be housed with other dogs. Even though I was alone at this scary, chaotic shelter, I still considered myself lucky that I avoided a pregnancy. Could you imagine me, on the streets, trying to care for little ones? Dodged that bullet!

I spent about a month at the shelter before I was sent to be spayed. 3 days after my spay, I got great news. CageFree Rescue was going to allow me to join their group. So I packed up all my belongings (kidding - I had no belongings) and was on my way to start the next chapter of my life.

I've had so much fun getting to know all the people and other rescue doggies here. I know I'm an orphan, but I've heard this is a safe place to be so I've got nothing to be sad about anymore. Except that you haven't come to adopt me yet! Maybe you're waiting to hear what I'm looking for in my forever family before you contact CageFree to ask about me. I suppose I could tell you what my wishes are.

I'm looking for an active family. We've already established that I'm a young pup and with that comes energy. I'm not crazy, bouncing off the walls kind of playful, but I definitely do enjoy exercise. I'd make a great motivator for someone that wants to do more hiking or jogging. I'll give you those big, brown, puppy dog eyes and you'll have no choice but to give into me and take me for a nice fun outing.

I'm really entertaining, too! I'm a happy, playful gal! I'm always ready to chase a ball or play with that new squeaky toy you just got for me at the pet store :)

If you're thinking of being my new family, you should like affection. When I'm not playing or taking a nap, I enjoy giving doggy kisses just to show you how very much I appreciate our wonderful friendship.

Enough about me...what about you? What kind of pooch are you looking for? I've got all 4 legs crossed that your answer is me! If so, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree and schedule a meeting with me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BUFFY (video), a Los Angeles Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Papillon dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
