My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Spots and I am a year and half old, Chihuahua Rat Terrier mix girl. And im cute! I weigh 10 1/2 lbs. I really don't know my name yet, the kids here gave me the name. You see I was found wandering a busy mountain road. There were no houses around. I am not saying whether I was abandoned or somehow got away from my owners. But you can tell I came from a loving home. I was hit by a car before the rescue lady could get to me. Some other lady stopped to help me, but said she could not take me. So my rescuer picked me up, and put me in her car. I was placed in another persons lap, but wanted to lay in the lap of the lady that got me out of the road. They looked me over and I seemed to have no injuries from being hit. She took me to her niece's house. She rescues kitties, and has a dog and kids. After a few days, something came up and the lady that first saved me came and got me. She has four dogs already at home. One of them is ok around some dogs but not others. So she wasn't sure what to do with me. She set a crate up in the basement for me and puts the other dog up when it is my turn to get out. I do not go potty in my crate. I do not bark while I am in there. I will whine a little at first, but after that I lay down and wait til it is my turn to get out. I stay in there all night and never bark to ask let me out. I get along with her other three dogs. One is a big mastiff. They also have a little chihuahua. He tried to jump on me to play and I wasn't sure what he was trying to do and I let him know it. But after warming up to him we get along just fine. When I walk up to the other dogs, I lay down in front of them or roll over on my belly. So I am a submissive dog. The dogs here bark if they see something outside. I have learned to look out the window, but I do not bark like they do. I do not have any food aggression. My rescuer has put her hands by my bowl, and I have eaten around the other dogs.
I let her put a sweater on me and she can look at my teeth, put her hands on my legs and paws and I do not mind at all. I just love the 5 and 9 year kids that live here. But the rescue lady is the one I follow around and I love to sit with her in the chair. I do know that food comes from the kitchen. I even sat without being asked. Not sure if I am potty trained, cuz I am taken out as soon as I am out of the crate. So I have not been observed as to whether I ask to go outside or not. But I do know how to go potty and head right back in if it is cold. If you are looking for THEE best dog ever and a life long friend, I am your girl. Even the 9 year old boy said I was the best dog ever. I promise to help keep you warm this winter, give lots of kisses and teach you how to give belly rubs. All your friends will be impressed at what a good girl you have. Please, you MUSTpaste following link into your browser BEFORE emailing for further information.
