Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet little Hudson came to DREAM all the way from Dallas Animal Services where they had named him "Trouble" because he had gotten himself into a little bit of trouble. He somehow managed to wedge himself between a wall and a fence. We don't know how that happened or what he did to himself but he was having trouble walking. The vet staff at DAS believed he was partially paralyzed although he did still have feeling in his legs. He was able to move them a bit and was still getting around pretty well. All the other Dachshund rescues in the area turned him down due to lack of funds and/or space. That's when DREAM stepped in. With the help of transporters from multiple rescue groups, we got Hudson down to Houston on Thursday, November 13th. After evaluation by our vets, the recommendation was to get him up to Texas A&M for back surgery. He arrived at A&M just in time because he was already losing use of both of his back legs. Hudson underwent back surgery on Saturday November 15th and has a good prognosis for a full recovery. This little guy needs a quiet foster home and crate rest for several weeks so he can get back on his feet again.
