Lizzie's Story...
Name: Lizzie
Color: Grey and Blonde
Breed: Wire Fox Terrier
Gender: Female
Age: 4 years
Lizzie is a sweet girl looking for a moderately active home who understands the terrier breed.
Special Features: Lizzie is an active little girl who will need lots of mental stimulation to stay happy. Lizzie is too smart to just be left to her own devices. She had sustained an injury to her knee in the past and while it doesn't slow her down any right now, extra care will need to be taken to make sure she doesn't overdo it. A glucosamine supplement is a great place to start to help keep her joints and ligaments as supple and healthy as possible.
Dream Home: Lizzie will be unable to be a jogging partner but she would do best with a home who can take her on daily walks and teach her a wide assortment of low-impact tricks so she can work her mind without exhausting her knees. Lizzie could live with a very confident cat, although she is known to chase after them, and she could also adjust well to a mellow male canine who will let her be the boss. Lizzie could also live with respectful children over 8 who have been around small dogs before.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizzie, a Bellingham Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wirehaired Fox Terrier for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wirehaired Fox Terrier breeders who help with Wirehaired Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
