I met Braeden when I went to Alabama in October to visit with our shelters. As soon as I saw him sweet, sad, scared little face in his kennel, my heart just tugged. He was such a scared little boy. He was clearly confused as to how he made his way to a kill shelter. We don't have any background info on him. We do know that he will need some work trusting someone. Small children might not be a good idea only because of their quick movements. HIs fur is very soft and will shine up nicely with good food. His tail is not docked and it's long and furry. And you can't help to fall in love with his big, puppy dog eyes.. He is just a sweet little dog who will bring you a lot of happiness.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
VETTING NOTE: Double Dog Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.
HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
