My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

3 Feleuk/FIV kitties need a hero! Mallow, Moby and Baby Girl all have feline leukemia. The boys, Mallow and Moby, also have FIV. They contracted it from their moms in utero. Lots of kittens are able to kick it, but sadly none of these 3 have been able to. Mallow (grey/white) and Moby (black) are extremely social, affectionate and handleable. Baby Girl (black and white) is much more shy and while she does not seek out attention from people, she LOVES having her 'brothers' around. These 3 kitties who are now teenagers (the boys are 7 months, baby girl is closer to 10 months), have been lovingly fostered by Diane. But Diane needs her foster kitten room back, so she can help us with the flood of babies on the horizon. She has been amazing in keeping this group for so long, but never intended to essentially adopt them. What these 3 kitties need is a bleeding heart to adopt or foster them long term. They have been relatively healthy, given their compromised immune systems. We would provide all vet care for illness for a long term foster who would give these kitties a loving home for what we expect to be, a fairly short life span. Feleuk kittens generally live a good couple of years before starting to decline. The boys also have FIV. These cats could live at our shelter, but they will be constantly exposed to all the other cats we have in and out our doors. Even when kept in a separate room (as would be necessary to avoid them potentially infecting our other kitties), they will still be sharing the air space under our roof. If you would consider adopting or long term fostering at least 2 of these kids, contact Gina at crazyforferals@yahoo.com
