Cane's Info...

Cane's Story...
Sweet as sugar- Cane, a 6 or 7 year old, 53 pound bully breed male. Cane has a beautifully muscled and sculpted head, with a soft-as-a-marshmallow muzzle. His low shed gunmetal gray coat is glossy and silky, therapeutic to the touch. His face is two toned a white stripe like a painted highway lane divider running slap down the middle front to back. Cane has old soul eyes, deep wise and wistful- eyes that have seen much. Cane strives to please his people, and will do whatever they ask of him: wear a tiara if it is dress-up day for the daughter, or don a kerchief and sunglasses if the little boy needs a partner in adventure. Slow moving and gentle, he is friendly and companionable with other dogs and is truly drawn to humans, adults and children alike. Cane is eager to transfer his love and loyalty from his foster family- to yours. For more information on Cane, please contact his foster mom at cwaguesp@gmail.com.
All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cane, a Baton Rouge Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
