Willow's Story...
UPDATE 07/04/08: I am really just a sweetheart of a cat weighing in at only 7 lbs but am full grown. I really, really, really, want to find my special someone so I can snuggle right up with them! Even though I am not a kitten, I still like to talk and rub up against you. I also love spending lots of time with you. I really enjoy getting in the window and looking out at everything that is going on outside. Thankfully, I don't have to spend any more time outside as I love being an inside only cat! One of my best qualities is that I get along with anyone and any animal!!! I hope you will take a chance and come see me soon. I won't disappoint you!

I am a wonderful companion. I really, really, really want to find my special someone. I get along with other cats and dogs which is a really great quality! I like to follow my foster mom around and get lots of love from her too. Even though I am not a kitten, I still like to play and am just what you are looking for!

I definitely am a lucky cat! Someone turned me out to fend for myself and I wasn't doing so well on my own. My foster mom saw me, thought I was a kitten due to my small size, and decided to bring me to her house. I love it there! I am litter trained, love to follow my foster mom around the house, and get along extremely well with dogs of all sizes as well as cats. My foster mom says that I am a purr machine who loves people. She says that I may be small in stature but not in personality!!! I do take one tablet of a drug called Methimazole twice daily for my hyperthyroidism but she says the pill is very cheap and I am very easy to pill. I hope to find someone who will let me snuggle with them and keep me as an inside kitty forever! I hope that someone is you:).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow, a Houston Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Houston, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
